Precista “Fab Four”.

Another of the original four watch companies commissioned by the MOD to make chronographs for issue to British aviators. Precista, like Newmark, were the later to be approached. In this case that is all to the good as 6BB (RAF) markings to the rear of the piece and an issue date of 1981 place this fine military two-button chronograph at just prior to the Falklands conflict. With very minor lume loss / discolouration to the hands, the dial is excellent, with near-perfect lume to the numerals and indices. For a workhorse piece issued to the period in question, this is in fine fettle – an evocative link to a time of Harriers and Sea Kings.
