Panerai Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days Special Edition

Released in 2013, the Panerai Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days is a special edition watch limited to just 750 pieces. This highly desirable Panerai was inspired by a rarely encountered version of Radiomir from the late 1930s of which only two examples are known. The dials, shrouded in mystery and intrigue, are revered for their unique design. Obtaining an original example has proved a difficult task- with historians concluding that the two examples were possibly test dials that had never followed through to production. The loss of the Panerai archive in the Florence flood of 1966 removes any hope of uncovering the answers behind these examples. This limited edition piece is a fitting tribute to the stark and beautiful relic dials created prior to the Second World War.
This PAM00449 model blends historic design with modern innovation through a variety of different features. Its black dial is protected by a Plexiglass crystal and is powered by a P.3000 calibre manual wind 3 days movement- visible through this watch's display back. At 47mm, this watch commands a presence on the wrist. However its simplicity offers a completely unique flavour which elevates this reference in a landscape of complex modern dials.
One of the most intriguing special edition releases from Panerai in recent history, this Radiomir is an extraordinary watch celebrating a relic of the brand's past. This example is #517 of 750 models produced. It comes alongside its original inner and outer packaging, signed certificate and booklets. Its original guarantee is absent. A highly desirable and rare piece, this incredible Radiomir is a serious modern investment watch.
