OMEGA Military 1953 RAF 6B/542 Fat Arrow Pilot's Watch

Widely revered by many military watch enthusiasts, this incredible pilot's watch from Omega was issued to the RAF in 1953 by special order of the Ministry of Defence. Only 5,900 pieces were made, making this reference highly collectible and increasingly sought after. The requirement for this model was to not obstruct the instrumentation of the Jet Fighter in the cockpit. Therefore, the movement was encased entirely in soft iron to create a Faraday cage, preventing magnetisation. Later inspiring early designs for the Railmaster model, this highly functional military timepiece is a historic example of Omega's utilitarian brilliance. The condition of this model is excellent, with minimal signs of wear and its lume remaining strong.
