Omega Chronostop Drivers watch

The Chronostop was designed in the mid -sixties to appeal to a younger clientele . It has a very sporty look due to the pusher which controls the one minute timer, a function which therefore needs no sub dial to clutter the main dial.

Even back them Omega had a great eye for sporting detail, they found that when driving , holding the wheel in the standard 10-2 position it was difficult to read a watch if worn on top of the wrist. They made the drivers Chronostop to be worn on the inside of the wrist and set the dial at a more unusual  90 degree angle which made the watch very easy to see at a glance. Due to it’s special design far fewer examples were sold therefore making this version by far the rarer and more sought after today by collectors.

This example is in outstanding condition and comes on the original Milanese Omega bracelet and Omega box.
