A superb all original RAF pilot's watch manufactured and commissioned in the Second World War. This famous 6B/159 reference incorporates stunning blued steel hands in a 32mm case. The ivory dial, now aged to a lovely patina, is signed LeCoultre as all of these references were. It is believed that the 'Jaeger' half of the brand's name was absent due to the word's strong Germanic roots- deriving from the old German word 'jagen', which means 'to hunt'. This military watch is powered by a very high grade Cal. 470 manual wind movement- fully serviced and running fine. A historical timepiece produced in one of the most significant periods of human history, this very special Jaeger LeCoultre is a watch with stories to tell.

This watch belonged to a member of British Coastal Command- he was issued this reference in 1942.
