Based on the iconic ‘Big Pilot’ watch produced by IWC in 1940, this modern version pays homage to its ancestor through bold designs and mechanical prowess. Measuring at 46mm, this watch is a commanding presence on the wrist, highlighted further by the 2cm thick, clasp-fastening black leather strap. Its luscious black dial is contrasted sharply with piercing white indices, illuminating hour, minute and second hands as well as the date window and power reserve display. The screw-in crown is appropriately large: practical for time adjustments and manual winding. Most notably this watch is powered by a IWC-manufactured 51111 calibre mechanical movement and is in perfect working order. Furthermore this watch is in outstandng condition and is accompanied by its original packaging, papers, cleaning cloth and guarantee card dated 23/7/15. Certainly one of IWC’s many home-run releases, this Big Pilot is overflowing with character and is a highly versatile piece ready to wear on any occasion.
