Rare opportunity to purchase a fine and hard to find pilots watch by Glashuttte Original, one of Germany's most highly regarded watchmakers. It takes its name from the town of Glashutte, famous for producing some of Germany's greatest watches including the over-sized pilots watches of WW2. This watch comes from the earlier production which is regarded as the "true" anti-magnetic version with solid case back. Later versions were produced with crystal display backs which had no anti-magnetic properties. The button on the left by the 7 o'clock position controls the seconds hand as a hack second stopping device or synchronisation control. Full set of box, papers (undated), including the famous Glashutte loupe! Original strap with little sign of wear.
