An early Breitling Navitimer is always something to behold. Celebrated beside the Heuer Carrera, Omega Speedmaster and the Rolex Daytona as one of the icons of '60s watchmaking, the Navitimer is synonymous with functional brilliance. Famously worn by such legendary racing drivers as Jim Clarke and Graham Hill, this pilot's watch was developed with the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association), the logo of which can be found beneath 12 o'clock- a highly desirable feature. Unusual for its time, the Navitimer boasts its famed slide rule bezel which surrounds a 40mm case with a thickness of 13mm, housing a myriad of complex functions on its dial. What was once an all-black display in the '50s evolved into the classic 'reverse panda' design as seen on this model, which improves legibility in low-light conditions through contrasting white subdials.

The condition of this example is simply outstanding. For a watch approaching 60 years old, its lack of fading and damage is incredibly rare. Presented on a custom brown leather strap and in perfect working order, this treasured pilots watch is essential to any vintage watch collection.
